Jennifer Salos, MS, CNC
Jennifer is a nationally Certified Nutritional Consultant and Diplomat of the American Association of Nutritional Consultants. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Duquesne University, and a Masters of Science degree in Holistic Nutrition from Clayton College of Natural Health. She is the founder of Chesapeake Holistic Natural Health Center and has been on the leading edge of the natural health movement for almost 20 years.
After her own health crisis in her 20s that was ultimately reversed through nutrition and lifestyle modification, Jennifer decided to devote her career to helping others achieve wellness through science-based natural health strategies. Jennifer pioneered the use of leading-edge biocommunication technologies in the greater Annapolis area, and has helped thousands reach their vibrant living goals.
Jennifer has a passion for travel, jewelry making, cooking, and reading. Jennifer lives on Kent Island with her husband, Steve, and beautiful daughter, Summer, who inspire her every single day.
Carol Heckman, ND, RN
Carol Heckman is a registered nurse and a Traditionally Certified Naturopath through Trinity College of Natural Health. Carol is also a Master Herbalist, and a Certified Nutritional Consultant. Carol received her certification as a natural health professional from the Trinity School of Naturopathy. She has been teaching and lecturing in the community, including at AACC, since 2003. Carol is passionate about safe skin care because the skin is our largest organ and one of the most overlooked pathways for toxins to enter our bodies. Carol wants all of us to know that what we put on our bodies is as important as what we put in our bodies. Carol has been proud to be an Arbonne International consultant for many years, advocating healthy skin care options to support people in achieving vibrant health.
Carol is thrilled to join Chesapeake Holistic Health to help our clients reach their natural health goals and learn about healthy choices and balanced living. Carol walks the talk with her own work/life balance and shares her life with her husband and two beautiful children here in Annapolis and spends time at their organic farm in Cortland NY.
Lisa Manning, CST, CHt
Lisa joins Chesapeake Holistic health after many years in private practice. Lisa has lived all over the world, and has recently moved to Maryland to begin the next chapter of her life. Lisa brings a wealth of experience, expertise, warmth and compassion to her work with clients from all walks of life. For the past ten years, Lisa has specialized in working with clients confronting chronic pain and anxiety, as well as chronic disease conditions. Her practice has been focused on using hands-on healing techniques to relieve excess strain on the nervous system and to restore proper function and movement to the maximum extent possible.
Lisa is a licensed Craniosacral Therapist in Virginia and Texas, and expects to receive her license in Maryland in the near future. She is also a Master Certified Hypnotherapist, specializing in Somato-Emotional Hypnosis to address chronic pain and anxiety. Lisa attended Texas Woman’s University and Lone Star College.
Lisa’s passion and focus are to empower and educate clients in self-care techniques to manage stress, pain and anxiety naturally. She works with clients who are currently using prescription and OTC medication, and also with those who are seeking to avoid, decrease or stop using it altogether.
Lisa is also certified in Elder Care and End-of-Life Care. She is an active volunteer with the Healing Arts Program for Hospice of the Chesapeake. She is the mother of four grown children and the adoring grandmother of two.
Kyle D. McIntyre, PT, DPT, CFMT
Kyle is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Functional Manual Therapist. He graduated from Arcadia University with a B.A. in Biology in 2009 and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2012. Kyle works with people in optimizing their functional capacity through creating more efficient movement patterns. Kyle has extensive experience rehabilitating people with orthopedic and sport-related injuries, having worked in different outpatient physical therapy settings. Since graduating, Kyle has completed over 700 hours of continuing education in various areas, including: Functional Manual Therapy, Movement Restoration, Neuroscience Pain Education, Nervous System Mobilization, Spinal Mobilization and Manipulation and Movement System Syndromes. He also has completed over 250 postdoctoral clinical mentorship hours as an Orthopedic Resident through the Functional Manual Therapy Foundation. In 2016, Kyle completed his Functional Manual Therapy Certification (through the Institute of Physical Art) with the highest level of distinction and will be joining the Institute of Physical Art faculty as an instructor.
Kyle uses an integrated manual therapy and movement restoration approach to treat acute and chronic pain syndromes and to restore efficient movement patterns. He has treated a wide spectrum of clients ranging from high school and college athletes with acute injuries through adults with chronic conditions, all working towards improving function and quality of life.
Carrie Singer, RN, MAc, LAc
Carrie is a licensed Acupuncturist and a Registered Nurse. She earned her Master’s degree from the Tai Sophia Institute and holds a Bachelor’s in Nursing from Towson University. She has spent her last ten years nursing on the Special Care Unit at AAMC, while growing her Acupuncture practice and starting her family here in Annapolis. She currently practices both traditional and Laser Acupuncture and Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture.
Carrie has always been deeply interested in the mind/body/spirit connection and after experiencing the benefits of acupuncture herself became passionate about learning and sharing this healing art with others. Carrie believes that through acupuncture, we can learn to listen to our bodies more fully, our hearts more deeply, and make healthy decisions for ourselves.
Carrie lives with her three greatest teachers, her best friend, and husband, their son and daughter. Carrie is happy to say that natural medicine has become a passion and way of life in their home and they are striving each day to learn more. She explains that it is very humbling to see her young children respond so openly and naturally to this ancient healing art.
Carrie is currently accepting new clients for acupuncture, laser acupuncture, facial rejuvenation acupuncture and ONDAMED.
Cathy Logan, CHC, Certified Emotion Code® Practitioner
Cathy Logan studied with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York and has earned her certification as a Health Coach through the State University of New York at Purchase. Cathy is also a Certified Ondamed Technician and has been working successfully with clients since we began using the Ondamed with such remarkable results. Cathy has worked with Chesapeake Holistic in the past as a weight loss coach, but she has found her true calling in helping others using Ondamed. Cathy’s cheerful personality and nurturing nature combine with her talent and skills to make her a client favorite. She looks forward to meeting you soon in our relaxing Ondamed room, so come in and make yourself comfortable! Cathy is a loving wife and mother with a daughter in college and a son still in high school. Cathy’s husband is an accomplished potter, and his beautiful work graces our Ondamed room. Jill Hannon is our amazing, extraordinary, wonderful Office Manager. Jill has worked with us off and on over the years, and we are thrilled that she now runs our Center, helping our clients, and generally keeping us all in line. We rely on Jill to schedule all appointments, manage the inventory, make sure our clients receive their supplements in a timely fashion, keep our books and see that we all stay out of trouble. Jill is the go-to gal for any problems or issues that may arise. Moreover, if you have any questions about which of our services or specialists is right for you, please contact Jill and she will be happy to help you decide who to see and what to do. Not only is Jill an excellent office manager and client concierge par excellence, she is also a Chesapeake Holistic success story. Lisa is our Office Assistant extraordinaire! Lisa has a BA in psychology and a BS in English. In a previous life, she was a middle school English teacher and worked as a children’s specialist and story teller in two local bookstores. Lisa love dogs and reading and crafting and spending time at her beach house. Lisa looks forward to seeing friends and clients of Chesapeake Holistic Natural Health Center and to helping wherever she can.
