How would you rather start your day: with an overwhelming to-do list or a clear page open with possibility? There’s something very satisfying about spring cleaning and eliminating clutter.

Until you make the time to “get” quiet and listen, you won’t be able to hear what your mind-body is trying to tell you. If you’re having a difficult time finding your inner Zen garden, don’t lose hope. There are ways that you can be guided along the path.

Where do I start? Again, be aware of what your mind is saying to your body. The goal is to quiet things down and eliminate anxiety, which is often created when we fear the unknown, things we cannot control. It’s like being stuck in a frightening daydream but the conscious mind believes it’s real.

The imaginal state mind is both the problem here and the cure. It can drive us crazy when we’re stuck in fear, but can also free and lift us to sacred places filled with hope, beauty and insight.

Through hypnosis and mindfulness, you can become a conscious dreamer and, with practice, you can become a masterful dreamer. My approach with hypnosis is to use it as a doorway to access your own ability to find inner peace and the confidence to maintain it. Mindfulness is based in accepting things as they are without judgment. In this practice, you can find peace even in the midst of chaos. You become the calm in the storm.

Craniosacral is another powerful healing tool for de-cluttering the nervous system, and creating the inner peace and space needed for deep rest and recovery. This light touch energy work soothes an overstimulated nervous system allowing the thoughts, feelings and emotions to settle into a more balanced and harmonious state.

The craniosacral work is gentle, nurturing and, for many, the results are quite profound. It’s also a valuable, effective resource when dealing with chronic pain and disease. Like all of our energy medicine tools at Chesapeake Holistic, this modality works to support and strengthen your body’s own natural healing process. The power that created the body is the one that heals it. We can all transform our health with this simple truth.

Mindfulness, hypnosis and craniosacral therapy all quiet the mind and body; each is powerful and all work together, holistically.

“Silence is a source of great strength.”- Lao Tzu

This silence is our healing epicenter. The de-cluttered space within the nervous system can now function optimally, receiving and sending messages with greater coherence and vitality.

Wishing you peace on the path!
