Ask Cathy: I think I have a lot of trapped emotions, should I choose Body Code or Emotion Code?
This is a question I get asked all of the time! The Emotion Code® was developed first, by Dr. Bradley Nelson. Years later, he created The Body Code,® which dives deeper into what’s going on with your body’s circuitry, energy, pathogens, and more.
The Emotion Code is now part of The Body Code, which is more comprehensive.
What I tell people is that if you’ve had a lot of trauma in your life, either emotional or physical, or if you have things going on in your body that you can’t quite figure out, then The Body Code is for you.
We’ll use The Body Code to identify and correct the different types of imbalances that cause all kinds of physical and emotional problems.
Don’t get me wrong, The Emotion Code is wonderful and I’ve seen it help many people; but, it is designed to deal solely with emotions that are stuck in your body. Now, sometimes these trapped emotions are causing pain; releasing these can alleviate the pain.
Many times, The Emotion Code is the link people are missing. I have seen it be extremely helpful for anxiety and depression as well.
The Body Code just takes things to a whole new level. Many people start with The Emotion Code and, as we start working, we may realize that The Body Code is needed.

Ask Lisa: How does reflexology on ears work?
Ear reflexology is useful because (similar to auricular acupuncture) it’s the quickest and most effective way to work with the central nervous system.
The technique used is very similar to hand and foot reflexology, except the pressure is applied to the front and back of the ear at the same time.
There are pressure points that can be manipulated for immediate relief of pain, cravings or anxiety; I often teach clients how to do this at home for self-care.
